Accessibility: Website accessibility, refers to creating web pages that allow people with disabilities, equal opportunities to access the content with the least amount of difficulty. (For example, a web page may be coded to work best with text readers, for those with visual impairments.)
Content Management Systems: are previously written programs, such as bloggers, shopping carts, forums, etc.
CPanel:This is an interface, that allows you to upload your files onto the Internet. (It also has many other, very cool features, to tinker with.)
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets): is a web language that is used to set styles within a web page.
Domain Name: This is a name you register, that appears within the url, that you type to access your web page, (eg. LisDesigns.com.au).
Flash: is a program that is used to create website animations.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol): is a protocol that allows files to be transferred over the Internet.
HTML (HyperText Markup Language): is a language that is used to create web pages.
JavaScript: is a web scripting language. It is commonly use for form validation and dynamic events.
Text-Reader: A text-reader is a talking browser, that reads out the information on a webpage, so that visually impaired people can access the content.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator): This is an address that identifies where a page can be accessed from, on the the Internet, (eg. http://www.lisdesigns.com.au).
Usability:Usability is a term that describes how user-friendly a website is.
Web host: A webhost is a company that stores your website and keeps it running online.
XHTML(eXtensible HyperText Markup Language): is a more recent version of HTML, that has stricter standards for coding.
