The purpose of this document is to detail the guidelines for privacy management, for Lis Designs.

2.1.       Before collecting information from you, we make sure you know who we are, by providing our business name and ABN on our website. If you would need further information, please send your request through our website.

2.2.       We will only collect personal information from you if it is necessary to perform our business administration,   functions or services.

2.2.       Where it is not necessary for business functions or services, users have the option of remaining anonymous. (Some examples of this include, submitting testimonials, feedback, complaints, quotes, etc.)

2.3.       For our services that require personal information to be collected, we will provide you with the reason why and what will happen if you choose not to provide us with that information. (In these situations, we will only request information by lawful and fair means.)

3.1.       While you are a client of Lis Designs, we will take reasonable steps to make sure your details are accurate and up to date.

3.1.1.    If you would like to know what information we have collected from you, you are able to make a request, to view and amend that information if you would like to.

3.2.       When your personal information is no longer needed we will destroy or de-identify it.

3.3.       If for some reason, we are not able to provide you with that information, we will provide with an explanation as to why.

3.4.       We take reasonable steps to secure your personal information from being disclosed.

3.5.       In the event that personal information is submitted through our online form that we do not need for our business purposes, then we will destroy or de-identify it.

 

4.   Privacy and Disclosure

4.1.       In some cases we are asked by customers to arrange services, such as hosting, with a third party organization. In these situations we seek your approval to provide your information to them, or provide you with their contact details so that you can.

4.1.1.    When making arrangements with third party organizations, we also seek to make sure that they aim to protect privacy, using similar guidelines to that listed in the Australian National Privacy Principles.

4.1.2.    When dealing with foreign third party organizations, we try to make sure there is a legal binding contract that details similar guidelines to the National Privacy Principles also.

4.2.       We do not pass your information onto third parties without your consent, unless it’s required by law.

4.2.1.    Some examples could be for tax purposes, social security, requests under warrant or subpoena, requests to aid law enforcement investigations - or if we suspect unlawful activity and feel that we should report it to the authorities.

4.2.2.    We may also pass on your information to authorities if we feel that it is use or disclosure is necessary, to prevent a serious threat to a person’s life, health or safety or a threat to public health or safety.

4.2.3.    In the event that we need to pass on your information to law enforcement, we will provide you with a written notice of this occurrence.
